Every year, around fall time students from the culinary program are put to work on the annual bake sale. They bake items ranging from Jalapeño & Cheddar Bread to Apple Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream. Freshmen and Sophomore classes work on the delicious ECTA Pumpkin Logs. Juniors work on the Dinner rolls and the Apple Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream. Seniors work on the Jalapeño & Cheddar Bread and the Pumpkin Cheesecake. There has been some changes made on the menu this year. There are two new items, which include the Pumpkin Cheesecake and the Apple Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream. “ Working on the bake sale has been fun, learning how to run a sale has been an experience.” explained a junior when asked if they enjoyed working on the bake sale. Students were asked to sell $50 worth of items for credit, “ It has been kind of difficult because I don’t have many relatives here in Las Vegas that I could sell to.” replied a student when asked what has been the hardest thing about the bake sale. The last day people can purchase items is 11/15.
